Ohashi Engineering is a mid-sized Japanese equipment manufacturer specializing in ACF bonding equipment. Based in a factory complex about an hour outside of Tokyo, Ohashi builds some of the world's most popular and successful ACF bonding lines and delivers them to places as diverse as the Ukraine and Brazil. Part of this success is because Ohashi's equipment is well-known for having the lowest total cost of ownership for high-volume lines, but this is only half the story. Ohashi Engineering, as its name clearly states, is an enginering company. It has focused on the key mechatronic capabilities needed to provide the speed and reliability demanded by its key customer base of mobile phone manufacturers and their EMS partners. Technical excellence in equipment design, however, is not enough to be successful in this market. Service and support at the local and global levels is the defining quality which distinguishes Ohashi from its competition. This service and support was developed by teaming with Ito Group, a technical sales and service organization based in Japan but with offices in all major manufacturing centers around the world. Ito-Group is currently supporting Ohashi installations with locally stocked spare parts, 24hr on call support and unrivaled ACF process knowledge in; Japan, The US, Mexico, Brazil, Northern China, Southern China, Thailand, Malaysia, the EU, and India.
Our worldwide support network ensures that not only will problems be solved in a timely manner, but that an expert in the process is easily accessible for questions, advise and consulting when you need them. This support starts with what we call "pre-service" to distinguish is from the more normal "after-service" activities most customers expect and which we also provide. In pre-service, we help our customers make sure that the plans and decisions that they make are those that will allow them to have the highest success rate once the project actually begins. This could include design reviews to make sure that an assembly is designed so that it will have the lowest ACF consumption or highest manufacturing yield possible. It could also include general education on ACF technologies so that the customer can decide whether ACF is actually an appropriate technology for the project the are considering. For our more advanced customers, we even offer multi-day seminars on best-practice for design and process optimization
